Our road began through the Tech Camp Bangladesh program where we proposed our idea to build a News eco-system based in Dhaka. Initially, we wanted to define minorities as the general people in the era of the former Sheikh Hasina ministry.
At Tech Camp Bangladesh
We are running this project on three core agendas: promoting citizen journalism, encouraging voices to be heard, and fostering fair journalism practices. These pillars guide our mission and define our actions.
With over 15 years of continuous rule, democracy was compromised, turning the general public into minorities, and the government became the majority.
After this period, our focus shifted towards educating citizens on media literacy. We observed widespread rumors during the mass uprising and aim to promote citizen journalism to combat fake news. Our workshops will include fact-checking, AI tools, and storytelling, empowering students (1st/2nd year) to raise their voices responsibly. Our key goals are to promote citizen journalism, encourage speaking up, and foster a fair journalism practice.
