1. Verify the official source of the news. You may come across various types of news on Facebook from different accounts citing news channels. However, some individuals alter the wording or structure of the news, making it difficult to detect changes. If you're uncertain about any news, you can always verify it by visiting the official page.

2. Before sharing any photocard, ensure that it's been uploaded by the official page. The photocard must come from the official news portal's page. Currently, Facebook walls or home pages are flooded with edited photocards when scrolling. Similar to news media, some individuals spread misinformation by creating fake photocards or poster-like news. Therefore, if you wish to share a photocard on Facebook, make sure it comes from the official news source.

3. Don't let someone else’s opinion sway your own. Everyone may have a different perspective, so it's important to research the information yourself before forming an opinion. Many influencers express their thoughts on various topics, and by presenting the subject in a certain way, they may mislead the public and create confusion. Therefore, when reading someone’s opinion, always check their sources and reasoning. Only after verifying their claims should you consider sharing the information.

4. If you suspect that an image might be AI-generated, or if you have doubts, use an AI detector like Google’s. HIVE is an excellent Chrome extension tool for verifying AI-generated images. Always act based on reason, not emotion. For instance, a picture of a baby allegedly in a flood circulated on social media, but it was AI-generated. With HIVE tools, you can easily identify such images. You can also check whether an image has been used before by uploading it to Google Lens.

5. You can check the metadata of videos or images using InVid tools on Google Chrome. This tool is frequently used by fact-checkers to determine when a video or image was uploaded. It also allows you to extract clear keyframes from low-quality videos for further research.
